Put text behind the person in your video
Big words sitting behind the speaker are everywhere on top channels. Captionwave finds the person in each frame and layers your captions behind them. It is in beta, and you choose which words get the effect.
Start freeHow to do it
- Open Captionwave, add your video, and create captions.
- Select the words you want behind the person, then switch on Behind the person. Or pick the Behind Subject style.
- Check the preview, adjust the text opacity if needed, and export.
Tips that work
- It works best with one clear person against a plain or contrasting background.
- Use it on one or two key words, not the whole sentence. The contrast is what makes it feel premium.
- Make the words big and place them around the head and shoulders, so the person overlaps part of the text.
Questions
Why is it called beta?
Finding people in video is hard, and edges can flicker with fast motion or busy backgrounds. We are improving it all the time.
What if nobody is in the frame?
Then the captions simply stay in front of the video.
