Using Captionwave

Captionwave helps you add captions to your own videos. By using it you agree to use it lawfully and only with videos you have the right to use. No account is needed.

Your content

You keep all rights to your videos and captions. They stay on your device, and we do not receive them. Projects are saved in your browser, so clearing your browser data removes them. Please keep your own copies of anything important.

Accuracy

Captions are generated automatically and can contain mistakes. Please review them before you publish. Features marked Beta may change or not work in every video.

Acceptable use

Please do not misuse Captionwave, try to disrupt it, or copy or resell it as your own. The Captionwave name, design and code belong to us.

Availability

We work to keep Captionwave running but cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or end features at any time.

Liability

Captionwave is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses from using it, including lost projects or captions.
